CSA Updates Standard on Wiring Space and Wire Bending Space in Enclosures

CSA Group’s Technical Subcommittee on Wiring space and wire bending space in enclosures has developed a new edition CSA C22.2 No. 0.12:19 – Wiring space and wire bending space in enclosures. The standard was published on February 8, 2019, and supersedes the previous edition published in 1985.

The standard is intended to meet Canadian product requirements and align with the Canadian Electrical Code, Part I, and C22.2 No. 0.

This standard applies to enclosed equipment that is to be permanently field connected to line or load circuits rated 1000 V or less in accordance with CSA C22.1, Canadian Electrical Code, Part I. It does not apply to enclosures of equipment intended to be wired with conductors that are smaller than No. 14 AWG.

Changes to this edition include:

a)  expansion of the scope to 1000 V

b)  removal of out-of-scope requirements
