IDEAL Electrical™ Debuts Guardian™ Conduit Bender with Set-Angle Stopper

September 10, 2024

IDEAL Electrical is helping electricians prepare for future demand with innovative and efficient new products. The electrical workforce is expected to increase 6.45% over the next decade compared to the national average of 2.84%. As the electrical industry adapts to this growth, electricians need products that simplify and expedite their work with conductors, receptacles, fuses, conduit, and more.

The new Guardian conduit bender from IDEAL® is one solution. This groundbreaking bender will simplify and shorten the conduit bending process through a built-in angle stopper along with additional ease-of-use enhancements.

“IDEAL Electrical is proud to introduce the latest evolution in its trusted conduit bender lineup with the Guardian bender,” said Carmen Cardillo, General Manager, North America – IDEAL Electrical. “Featuring a set-angle stopper, the new bender streamlines the bending procedure and sets a new standard for innovation among electrical suppliers.”

The Powerful Set-Angle Stopper

The set-angle stopper automatically stops the bender once the conduit reaches the desired angle. In a first for the industry, the angle stopper is seamlessly built into the bender head, ensuring accuracy and eliminating the risk of losing a separate piece.

Electricians can set the Guardian Bender stopper to a wide range of common bending angles:

10°

45°
 22.5°
60°

30°

90°

“The set-angle stopper is a game-changer that greatly simplifies the bending process,” said Product Manager Trevor Fildes. “By sliding the angle stopper along the bender head, electricians can easily prepare for a variety of bends and prevent over- or under-bending.”

Additional New Features for Electricians

The Guardian bender also features several additional enhancements to improve the bending experience. With clearer, recessed markings that wrap around the backside of the head, the bender makes observing the angle during air bends easier. In addition, electricians can use the handle as a straightedge and easily square up when measuring. Other features include a dedicated bend correction hole in the head and a textured handle for better grip. The Guardian bender is available for ½ inch EMT conduit and ¾ inch EMT conduit.

IDEAL Electrical is proud to expand its conduit bender lineup with this latest innovation. The Guardian bender symbolizes the ongoing IDEAL Electrical commitment to designing high-quality products that meet real electrician needs.
