Electrifying Connections: A Celebration of Legacy, A Vision for the Future

This year’s Annual Industry Conference, held against the breathtaking backdrop of Niagara Falls, Ontario, was a landmark event with more than 710 Electro-Federation Canada community members. More than just a celebration of our shared history, it was a launchpad for new ideas, future-based dialogue, and deeper connections.  

The energy and engagement throughout the conference reflected the vibrant pulse of our industry. From inspiring keynote speakers and energizing sessions to meaningful networking opportunities and leadership transitions, this year’s event signaled a bold evolution in how we shape the future of our industry.

Highlights That Defined Electrifying Connections 

  • Record-breaking attendance: more than 710 delegates, companions, partners, and past industry icons – our largest annual conference yet!  
  • Biggest golf tournament to date: 370 enthusiastic golfers teed off together.
    • Congratulations to our Conference Golf Tournament Winners:
      • Whirlpool Golf Course: Paul Morrow, Patricia Quiroga, Travis Mann, Paul Fascione with a score of 62 (-10) (by tie-breaking retrogression) 
      • Legends Ussher’s Creek: Alex Leblanc, Karen Speelman, Jean-Francois Poirier, Jean-Sebastien Bercier with a score of 63 (-9) 
      • Legends Battlefield: Bruno Ardito, David Kwant, Jason Denstedt, Jonathan Kwant with a score of 58 (-14) 
  • A rising generation: 21% of attendees were young professionals, underscoring a bright future across the industry 
  • New faces, new energy: 22% were first-time participants – either as new members or first-time conference-goers  
  • Four powerhouse speaker sessions on the most pressing issues shaping our industry, featuring Estelle Métayer, Don Drummond, Nik Nanos, and Janice Gross Stein 
  • EFC’s 30th Anniversary celebration honoured our past chairs and award recipients, recognizing the leaders who paved the way. 
  • EFC unveiled its 2025 Research, expanding on the insights from the 2021 report. This latest study explores shifting customer behaviours in the electrical and automation industry, offering a timely lens into the evolving post-pandemic marketplace. This report will be available to EFC members in mid-June.
