  • UL listed – Complies with industry safety standards
  • Precision dies – Creates a circumferential hex- or diamond-shaped compression for assured high conductivity
  • Low resistance – High pull-out values
  • Special configurations – Allows terminations in narrow spaces without cable bending and minimal bus bar space
  • Readily available – Standard angles or custom configurations
  • Demanding applications – Ideal when a reliable, verifiable crimp is required
  • ABB’s Shure-Stake® crimp mechanism – Ensures proper termination every time
  • Accurate and easy inspection – Embossed die code on connectors

Color-Keyed® aluminum narrow-tongue, long-barrel, two-hole lugs

ABB’s new lugs are engineered to save space, boost reliability and meet growing demands of modern electrical systems like data centers. Designed to maximize uptime and efficiency, they offer a more economical solution than copper lugs while fitting larger gauge wires in tight spaces.

  • Space-saving – Light-weight, aluminum design
  • Dual-rated – Supports aluminum and copper conductors
  • Wide range of cable sizes – Accommodates 350–500 kcmil to 1,000 kcmil
  • Chamfered barrel design – Helps minimize wire hang-ups and improve crimping efficiency
  • Pre-terminated wire connections – Eliminates the need for post-installation crimping

Applications

  • Grounding and bonding
  • Power distribution
  • Renewable energy
  • Industrial automation – control panels, motor control centers and process automation
  • Data centers
  • Rail and transit
  • Commercial construction

Technical data

Depending on the application, all ABB copper connectors meet UL Std. 486A for code stranded and 24-gauge flex, CSA Std. C22.2, No. 65 600 V requirements for power and UL Std. 467, CSA Std. 22.2 No. 0.4 requirements for direct buried grounding.
