Schneider Electric and Albesol Partner to Provide Medium Voltage Premset Equipment in New $20M Mississauga Facility

November 20, 2025

Schneider Electric Canada has announced the inauguration of a new $20M state-of-the-art Albesol facility in Mississauga, Ontario. Launching on November 20, the new location marks a key milestone in their shared mission to strengthen Canada’s energy infrastructure and supply chain resilience.

The new facility is set to expand its workforce from 28 to 50 employees over the coming year and will specialize in the manufacturing and assembly of medium-voltage switchgear—critical for electricity distribution. In addition, the site will produce modular electrical cabinets and heavy industrial process drives, essential for advancing process electrification and integrating power and process systems to meet Canada’s growing electrification demands.

“This partnership reflects our shared commitment to sustainability, innovation, and operational excellence,” said Emily Heitman, President of Schneider Electric Canada. “By working together, we are strengthening Canada’s energy ecosystem and ensuring that critical electrical infrastructure is delivered reliably and responsibly to meet the needs of today and tomorrow.”

Building on this commitment, government leaders also recognize the importance of industry partnerships in driving economic growth and energy resilience.

“Industries in Ontario’s energy sector play a pivotal role in carrying out our goal of being the strongest and most competitive economy in the G7, creating good jobs to support our workers locally and province-wide, and advancing made-in-Canada solutions,” said Sam Oosterhoff, Ontario’s Associate Minister of Energy-Intensive Industries. “The partnership between global sector leaders Schneider Electric and Albesol in the opening of this new, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Mississauga is a display of the energy self-reliance and resilience that industry is leading to ensure Ontario has the critical electrical infrastructure needed today and for generations to come.”

By producing these solutions locally in Canada, Schneider Electric and Albesol can ensure faster delivery of high-quality products to customers. The facility will also provide engineering, testing, and project implementation services, strengthening the ability to respond to market needs with agility and precision.

Albesol, a licensed partner of Schneider Electric, will act as a key extension of Schneider Electric’s reach, offering localized manufacturing, customization, and implementation of advanced electrical systems.

“Through this collaboration, we are addressing supply chain challenges head-on, reinforcing stability and quality across local and national networks,” said Artan Pulti, Chief Executive Officer, Albesol Energy Inc. “This initiative enhances our ability to serve essential sectors—from data centers and mining to hospitals and utilities—while contributing to Canada’s long-term energy security.”
