On the Path to $1 Million: Celebrating $815,509 Raised for Canada’s Children’s Hospitals

Gescan is proud to share an incredible milestone: since 2022—together with our customers, supplier partners, and employees—we’ve have raised $815,509 in support of children’s hospitals across Canada. Through our annual charity golf tournaments, branch-led fundraising events and generous employee contributions, this collective effort continues to make a meaningful difference for young children and their families.

WHY THIS MATTERS

Children’s hospitals across Canada care for medically complex and critically ill children every day. They provide lifesaving treatments, advance pediatric research, support mental health, and offer programs that care for the whole child—mind, body and spirit. More than 8 million children, representing 21% of Canada’s population, rely on these essential services.

The compassion and commitment shown by our partners and communities help ensure these hospitals can continue delivering the highest level of care.

A GROWING IMPACT THROUGH COMMUNITY LED GOLF TOURNAMENTS

A major driver of this fundraising success has been Gescan’s annual charity golf tournaments—made possible by the remarkable support of our partners. Over the past four years, our customers, vendors, and employees have come together with a shared purpose: improving the lives of children in need.

We are especially grateful to ABB Electrification Canada Inc., who has proudly served as a title sponsor helping us to elevate the tournaments’ reach and impact year after year.

In 2025 alone:
  • 60+ vendor partners supported the tournaments
  • More than 400 players joined us on the golf green to swing for a great cause

What began as a single day on the course has grown into a powerful movement—one where every swing, every putt, and every sponsorship directly supports pediatric care.

Sponsorship opportunities for Gescan’s Charity Golf Tournaments are now open—secure your spot before registration closes on May 1, 2026.

BRANCH EVENTS MAKING A LOCAL DIFFERENCE

Beyond the golf course, local fundraising efforts continue to thrive thanks to the creativity and enthusiasm of our branch staff, customers and supporting vendors. In 2025, 40 branch events were hosted across our regions, bringing together local communities through:

  • Bottle drives
  • Pancake breakfasts
  • BBQ lunches
  • Car Bingo’s
  • Dunk Tanks
  • And more!

These events make giving fun, accessible, and deeply rooted in the communities they support.

Check out our event calendar and discover a local Gescan branch event near you—come out, join the excitement, and be part of the impact happening right in your neighbourhood.

LOOKING AHEAD TO 2026

As we move into a new year of charitable initiatives, we’re inspired by what our communities have accomplished—and motivated to build on this momentum. In 2026, we will continue working alongside customers, suppliers and employees to support families who rely on these essential services, with a shared goal of reaching an incredible milestone: $1 million in total donations
