Cooper Lighting Solutions Earns Eight Selections in 2026 IES Progress Report

August 17, 2026

Cooper Lighting Solutions has earned eight selections in the 2026 Illuminating Engineering Society (IES) Progress Report, more than any other lighting manufacturer recognized this year. The achievement marks the company’s 16th year of recognition in the past 18 years. The selected solutions address a broad range of lighting needs, from precise outdoor optical control and adaptable building controls to architectural downlighting, sports lighting and high-performance luminaires for demanding environments.

Cooper Lighting Solutions products featured in the 2026 IES Progress Report include:

  • McGraw-Edison Galleon II with Backlight Control Optics

The Galleon II helps communities illuminate parking areas and outdoor spaces while limiting unwanted light behind the luminaire. It delivers more than 50,000 lumens while maintaining B0 backlight control, with five optical distributions for precise site layouts and IP66 and IK10 ratings for demanding environments.
  • Invue LuxeScape Bollard

A Red Dot Design & iF Award winner, the LuxeScape Bollard brings refined architectural design and uniform pathway illumination to outdoor environments. WaveStream LED technology increases uniformity and minimizes shadows, while symmetric and asymmetric distributions, six CCT/CRI options including 590 nm amber provide flexibility across a range of environments.
  • Streetworks UPW Underpass Wall Mount

The UPW Underpass Wall Mount improves visibility beneath bridges and underpasses with high-output illumination that can be directed where it is needed. The luminaire provides up to 22,000 lumens and efficacy up to 174 lumens per watt, while 16 AccuLED optical distributions and a mounting bracket that tilts up to 25 degrees support precise application.
  • WaveLinx PRO Dual Tech Ceiling Sensor

The WaveLinx PRO Dual Tech Ceiling Sensor helps improve occupancy detection and lighting responsiveness by combining PIR and acoustic sensing with an integrated photocell. Three coverage patterns, line- and low-voltage options, and software-based commissioning provide application flexibility while enabling ladderless updates.
  • WaveLinx DALI

WaveLinx DALI simplifies the design, commissioning and management of connected lighting systems across multiple device types. The hybrid network supports DALI, 0-10V and low-voltage devices from a single controller, while DALI-2 Certified devices, automatic addressing and flexible wiring topologies streamline setup.
  • IRiS 3-inch Architectural Downlighting

IRiS 3-inch Architectural Downlighting gives designers precise control over beam placement while maintaining visual comfort and a clean ceiling aesthetic. Three-step vertical adjustment, 365-degree rotation, 45-degree tilt, interchangeable optics and extensive trim, finish and color quality options provide broad application flexibility.
  • Ephesus LumaSport 12 Remote Power System

The LumaSport 12 Remote Power System helps venues deliver high-performance field illumination while reducing spill light, glare and installation complexity. The luminaire produces up to 150,000 lumens, features an Extreme Cutoff Visor and pre-aimable design, and houses power and control components at the base of the pole for easier access. Operators can control the system from virtually anywhere using a web-enabled device or through Wireless AirMesh and wired DMX controls.
  • Fail-Safe ASL4 Architectural Surface Linear

The ASL4 provides a durable, design-conscious lighting solution for behavioral health and other demanding architectural environments. Its ADA-compliant 3.5-inch profile delivers up to 3,500 lumens per linear foot, with IK09 and IP64 protection, specialized spectral options and ligature-resistant configurations.

“Having eight solutions selected for this year’s IES Progress Report reflects the depth of innovation happening across our portfolio,” said Eric Jerger, VP/GM at Cooper Lighting Solutions. “Each advancement was developed around a real customer need, whether that means improving optical control, simplifying system design and installation, expanding application flexibility or delivering dependable performance in demanding environments.”
