NWT: Apprenticeship, Trade and Occupation Certification Board Call for Applications

The Apprenticeship, Trade and Occupation Certification Board for Northwest Territories is seeking applications for an Employer Representative to fill a three-year term.

The Board serves as an advisor to the Minister of Education, Culture and Employment on matters related to training and certification of apprenticeship, trades and occupations. It consists of seven industry members representing the general public as well as employers and employees working in designated trades and occupations across the Northwest Territories.

While you do not need to possess journeyperson or occupational certification to be eligible, interest and experience in this area are important. Applicants must be prepared to commit the necessary time and energy to the role. The Board meets quarterly and as required.

Board members receive renumeration of up to $250 per day for each day of meetings.

Interested applicants can send their resume and letter of interest to apprenticeship@gov.nt.ca. The deadline for applications is January 5, 2024.
