On December 13, in the presence of many customers, team members and partners, Westburne officially reopened a newly renovated branch in Rouyn, Quebec. The branch is located at 233 Boulevard Industriel, Rouyn-Noranda.
The new Edmonton branch will be a 30,000 square foot facility with a strong emphasis on lighting and associated products to start. However, it will evolve quickly into a full electrical branch, including wire and cable.
The 27th edition of the Ontario Electrical Safety Code (Code) has been finalized and is now available for purchase. The Code comes into effect as regulation on May 16, 2019. Members of the electrical industry are encouraged to begin familiarizing themselves with the new Code.
Hitachi has a deal with industrial giant ABB to purchase 80% of their Power Grids division for $6.4bn. The move marks a transition for Hitachi, which will look to expand its energy solutions offerings by combining ABB’s power grids business with their digital technology division.
