Manitoba Hydro and EAM to Develop a Best Practice Guide
Manitoba Hydro and the Electrical Association of Manitoba are looking for experienced industry individuals to contribute to the development of a “Planning a Reliable Variable Speed Drive Installation” best practice guide. The goal is to provide members and electrical customers with a credible overview resource on the design, reliability and interconnection requirements of variable speed drives.
The first trial best practice guide, would be “Planning a Reliable Variable Speed Drive Installation.” The pamphlet would assist members and users on design, reliability and interconnection requirements of VFDs.
Time commitment required from volunteer participants would be approximately 2, two hour meetings offered by remote connection with the option of attending in person. It is estimated that individuals will contribute approximately 6 hours to develop this guide.
