Eaton FDE 210+ Moulded Case Circuit Breaker Offers Electronic Trip Functionalities in a Smaller Package

Eaton 210

Eaton introduces the new Digitrip RMS 210+ electronic trip unit integrated in an F-frame moulded case circuit breaker (MCCB). The Digitrip 210+ trip unit provides easy setup, to ensure coordination and reliable protection for electrical systems in commercial, industrial and machinery manufacturing environments. Designed to fit FDE-frame MCCBs, the new trip unit offers electronic trip unit functionality in an economic platform.

For installation in assemblies such as panelboards, switchboards, motor control centres, switchgear and machinery control panels, the 210+ electronic trip units are available in two types, LI and LSI. Both versions include a seven-position dial to set current rating (ampacity) of the breaker. The LI version also includes an adjustable instantaneous protection setting. The LSI version includes a short delay setting with magnitude and time delay options to improve coordination when protecting against electrical faults in a system.

Available features on the new electronic trip unit include two dials for simplified setup during installation, including an ampacity dial with seven ANSI ratings on each frame; tighter tolerances on protection curves from thermal magnetic breakers; a status indication light to provide user situational awareness; a test port for secondary injection testing; and a tamper-protection clear cover with a slot for a wire seal.

The trip units are available in 100 amperes (A), 150A or 225A MCCB frames, and are UL 489 and CS) listed.
