The Concrete Mat Xpress solution, for strength and reliability

Mar 5, 2024

Discover the Top 6 reasons to use it for your projects

  1. The simplest and fastest-to-install radiant floor heating system

The Concrete MAT Xpress is the ideal choice for any installation embedded in concrete. With its simple installation process facilitated by its self-adhesive backing substrate, all you need to do is roll out the mat over the insulation, beneath the concrete slab or on plywood under a concrete screed, and you’re good to go.

  • Uniform heat distribution and thermal comfort

The under-slab radiant floor heating system allows for uniform heat distribution across the entire room, effectively eliminating temperature variations and creating a comfortable indoor environment. The radiant heat from the floor heating system provides a pleasant thermal comfort, similar to the natural warmth of the sun. As it operates as a radiant heating system, there is no heat buildup at the ceiling.

  • Energy efficiency

By heating the concrete slab, the radiant floor heating system takes advantage of the material’s high thermal mass, allowing it to store heat during cost-effective periods or not heat during peak times, all while maintaining occupant comfort. This principle of thermal inertia enhances the energy efficiency of the heating system and reduces heating-related costs.

  • Space savings and aesthetics

Integrating the heating system directly under the concrete slab frees up wall and floor space, as there is no need for visible radiators or ducts. The radiant floor heating system thus confers a cleaner and more modern aesthetic to the space, facilitating interior decoration and design.

  • Allergy reduction

Compared to forced-air heating systems, the under-slab radiant floor heating system does not create air movement, as the convection generated by the radiant heating of a floor is minimal. Consequently, the floor heating system reduces the circulation of dust and allergens, which can be advantageous for sensitive individuals.
