Schneider Canada Awarded BSI Canada Award of Excellence

Schneider Electric

BSI Group Canada Inc., a division of the world’s first National Standards Body and a founding member of the International Organization of Standardization (ISO), has awarded Schneider Electric the 2014 BSI Canada Award of Excellence for Quality Management Systems. Schneider Electric holds ISO 9001 (since 1998), ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 certifications. Over the years, the company has shown an extremely effective management system spanning over three facilities and has adopted a risk-based approach to internal audits that already meets some of the anticipated changes in the upcoming soon-to-be issued ISO 9001 standard, says BSI Group Canada Inc.

“The judging process was made even more challenging this year because we had so many worthy candidates from across industries and regions in the country,” said Gary Robinson, Commercial Director, BSI Canada. “This tells us that Canadian companies in numerous sectors are serious about embracing and committing to business excellence.”

BSI Canada created the Award of Excellence in 2011 to recognize customers who excel in the implementation of international business standards. This year’s Award of Excellence judging panel consisted of a multi-disciplinary team at BSI Canada which interviewed clients, auditors, senior account managers, and other client facing personnel.
