Emerging Leaders for Solar Energy Launches Mentoring Program

Emerging Leaders for Solar Energy Launches Mentoring Program

July 4, 2016

Emerging Leaders for Solar Energy (ELSE) has launched its first mentoring program, designed to connect young professionals with established leaders in the solar and renewable energy industry.

ELSE is an expanding network of young professionals, students and solar advocates (up to 35 years), who are working with the Canadian Solar Industries Association and industry stakeholders to build a strong solar energy future across the country.

The program offers mentors and mentees benefits associated with one-on-one mentoring sessions, including career development, updates on current industry news, and the opportunity to network.

ELSE defines a mentor as a person who voluntarily agrees to share their professional experience with an ELSE mentee to help in their development of professional skills and goals within the solar and renewable energy industry. The organization is seeking mentors with at least five years in the solar and renewable energy industry, preferably in a management, director or senior level position.

A mentee is a person who is an existing member of ELSE, has identified a specific professional goal, and believes that the guidance and experience of connecting with an ELSE Mentor can help them achieve that goal.
