Honey Electric’s Dale MacDonald Appointed to ESA Board

MacDonald has a history of serving with a variety of industry, trade and community groups, including the Ontario College of Trades, Ontario Electrical League, interprovincial Red Seal program and Chatham-Kent chapter of the Canadian Mental Health Association.
MacDonald and his brother have operated Honey Electric Ltd., based in Chatham, Ontario, for more than 40 years, providing a wide range of electrical contracting services from traffic control, greenhouses, and solar installations to significant commercial, residential, industrial and institutional work.
“I am very pleased to welcome Dale to the ESA Board as one of our three directors from the licensed electrical contractor sector,” says Brian Bentz, Chair of the Board, Electrical Safety Authority. “We are in an evolving electricity and energy landscape that requires ESA to be adaptable and responsive. I look forward to having Dale’s insights and expertise assist us in navigating this world.”

John Raepple, president and owner of John Raepple Electric Ltd. of Cambridge, concluded his term on the ESA Board after nine years. “John made outstanding contributions to the governance and oversight of ESA for the last nine years and we thank him for all his efforts,” says Bentz.
