Hydro One Promotes Judy McKellar to Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer

In her new role, Judy McKellar will focus on driving cultural change at Hydro One in Health, Safety, Environment and People and Culture.

Ms. McKellar has held various roles of increasing responsibility at Hydro One in the Human Resources department during her more than 30-year career, and was appointed VP of Human Resources in 2010. In 2014, Judy assumed the additional responsibility of Senior Vice President of People and Culture/Health, Safety and Environment, and serves as the accountable executive for the Human Resources Committee of the Board of Directors.

“Judy McKellar has been integral to our efforts to accelerate Hydro One’s cultural transformation from the public to private sector and she is the best leader to continue us on this journey,” says Mayo Schmidt, President and CEO, Hydro One Inc. “Judy’s appointment completes our executive team, a team that will transform the company into a commercial enterprise focused on delivering value to customers and shareholders.”

Ms. McKellar has been involved in the Canadian Women’s Foundation Economic Advisory Committee and is a contributor to the Set Sail Charity, which assists youth in education. She has been recently recognized as one of the top 100 Most Powerful Women in Canada in the PWC Public Sector category.
