FLO and Nissan Canada Team Up to Drive Electric Vehicle Adoption

FLO, the most comprehensive and reliable charging ecosystem in Canada, is partnering with Nissan Canada to encourage and ease EV adoption throughout the country.

Through this association, the new FLO Home charging station will become the recommended residential charging station by Nissan Canada for owners of the LEAF, its fully electric vehicle. Nissan will offer a $500 discount on the FLO Home charging station to every buyers of a new Nissan LEAF vehicle from a participating Nissan dealership from now to March 31, 2017.

FLO will also offer them a free access card to its charging network, the largest in Canada, which provides EV drivers with more than 3,000 charging stations from coast to coast.

“With this partnership, we want to simplify the decision of buying an electric car by fulfilling EV drivers’ charging needs at home and on the road, straight from the dealership,” says Louis Tremblay, president and chief executive officer of FLO.

Designed and manufactured in Quebec by AddÉnergie, the North American leader in charging solutions for electric vehicle, the FLO Home charging station is perfectly adapted to Canadian winters. Its 100% aluminum casing is designed to withstand the most extreme weather conditions.

The FLO Home charging station became available in December 2016. “More than 80% of EV charging occurs at home. That’s why EV owners must count on a reliable, efficient and sturdy residential charging station to be sure that their car is ready to go whenever they need it,” explains Louis Tremblay, President and Chief Executive Officer of FLO.

The FLO Home charging station is compatible with all models of fully electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles. Ninety minutes of charging will provide up to 50 kilometres in range, which corresponds to the average distance travelled daily by Canadian drivers.
