ntertek Warns of Unauthorized ETL Certification Mark on LED High Bay Luminaires

February 24, 2017

Intertek reports that LED high bay fixtures made by Shanghai Leiqiong Lighting Technology Co. Ltd. bear unauthorized Intertek certification marks for Canada and the United States. Description: LED High Bay Lights, Model Number LQ-IL-150W.

The products have not been evaluated by Intertek and it is not known if they comply with any safety requirements. The fixtures could overheat and fail.

To identify the product, look for an unauthorized ETL mark and the following: cETLus certification mark without a control number, 150W-200-480v, AC Cool White 6000K. The packaging reads LED High Bay Light, Model LQ-IL-150W, with cETLus mark without a control number.

Purchasers are advised to return products to the point of purchase. Distributors and retailers should discontinue sales and return all inventories to their supplier, says Intertek.
