For the 17th year in a row, Burnaby-based Houle Electric has earned a Vancouver-North Mainland Consumer Choice Award, which recognizes business excellence in small and medium sized businesses.

Houle Electric’s story starts in 1944, when Lionel Houle and his father opened a store that provided electrical products and services to the residents of Port Alberni, BC. The company has since grown to between 700 and 1400 employees, and operates out of communities throughout BC. Find out more about Houle Electric: www.houle.ca.

The Consumer Choice Award was established in 1987 with the sole purpose of recognizing business excellence in small and medium sized businesses. Company names per categories are chosen through a combination of consumer and business input combined with hard data gleaned from databases such as Dunn & Bradstreet and Statistics Canada.
