Philips Lighting Canada Recalls ECeramic Metal Halide Lamps

Philips Lighting Canada Ltd. is voluntarily recalling Philips Energy Advantage AllStart 330 watt ceramic metal halide 4K lamps with AllStart Technology (model CDM330 4K) that were manufactured from May 2011 through March 2014.

Up to 37,782 possibly affected lamps have been distributed throughout Canada.

During end-of-life failure the outer glass bulb may shatter and can result in heated internal lamp particles and pieces of glass falling from the ceiling posing fire hazard to areas and objects located below.

No injuries have been reported. Outside Canada, there have been a few reports of property damage which was possibly caused by the product.

The lamps were manufactured in Bath, NY.
