EDIST 2018 Call for Papers

The Electricity Distributors Association’s EDIST Conference and Exhibition Advisory Committee invites prospective speakers to share expertise, gain industry visibility, network and enhance their professional growth by submitting a technical presentation for consideration. Submission deadline: August 15, 2017.

This year’s theme is “The Power to Adapt Through Innovation.” Don’t miss your chance to connect with influential decision makers. This is an opportunity to share your knowledge with a respected audience of engineering & operations and IT professionals from the electrical utility industry. The event takes place January 17-19, 2018.

Ontario’s electricity market is rapidly shifting arising from a combination of policy, technological and customer changes. The sector is being moulded by several forces, including rising customer prices, local distribution company (LDC) consolidations, climate change legislation, financial constraints, cyber security threats, smart grid innovation, and disruptive technologies. LDCs are adapting and changing to meet the needs of today’s technology changes and savvy consumers.

Historically, this event has evolved and transformed over the years, the same way technology has and is now the go-to source for technological innovation in the electricity distribution sector. As the years continue to grow, so does EDIST’s exhibition hall, where a record breaking 500 exhibitor booths were sold out last year.
