Brady, a global leader in industrial and safety printing systems and solutions, has announced it has joined the LinkWare Live Affiliates Program from Fluke Networks, and has released new functionality within the Brady Text Labels mobile app to integrate the wireless print capabilities of the Brady BMP51 or BMP61 Portable Label Printers with the industry-leading LinkWare Live cloud certification platform.

Together, the Brady Text Labels Mobile App and Fluke Networks’ LinkWare Live improve the efficiency and productivity of network and cable labeling processes by eliminating the old time‑wasting manual data entry tasks by printing with data generated from LinkWare Live, a single database containing all the data required during the network design and installation stages.

“There are tremendous business benefits for contractors and installers using Brady products integrated with LinkWare Live,” said Nicole Nelson, global product manager for portable systems at Brady. “Brady is a leading provider of high-performance materials that are specified in key applications and companies in the Information and Communication Technology (ITC) industry. Now, by being able to manage, access and print cable IDs from a single database via LinkWare Live, the solution not only reduces errors, automates and speeds up the labeling process – it will increase profitability on each project for our customers.”

This partnership allows project managers, cable technicians and installers to easily access projects in LinkWare Live, import cable ID data to the Brady mobile app and use templates or create and edit labels to simplify labeling tasks. Installers can either print in the field using LinkWare Live to download files to the Brady Text Labels mobile app or download files before heading to a project. The connection from the Brady mobile app to a Brady BMP51 or BMP61 portable wireless printer allows for easy and efficient editing and printing of labels in the field.

“We are hearing from contractors and installers that they are experiencing double-digit increases in productivity by using cable ID and labeling applications and printers integrated with LinkWare Live, like Brady’s BMP51 or BMP61 printers driven by the Brady Text Labels Mobile App,” said Eric Conley, Vice

President and General Manager of Fluke Networks. “LinkWare Live Affiliates, like Brady, are giving contractors and installers all the advantages they need to not only create more efficient workflows that improve productivity, but to transform the way they work and do business.”

The Brady Text Labels mobile app is a free label creation app that allows for the easy creation of basic text labels frequently used in the Datacomm industry. With this app, users can apply text options and preview changes, fill in labels with repeating text, create sequenced labels, quickly use data from a CSV file and apply special fonts to labels. The app is available on the Apple® iOS App and Android Google Play™ stores.

LinkWare Live allows users to upload, manage and analyze complex cable installation data from anywhere. LinkWare Live operates in the cloud and bridges the gap between the project manager’s office, where much of the data for cable installations originates, and the jobsite. The ability for onsite workers and project managers to access the same data, regardless of their location, creates considerable efficiencies. LinkWare Live works with Fluke Networks Versiv testers, including DSX-8000 CableAnalyzer™, OptiFiber™ Pro and CertiFiber™ Pro certification testers.

This new partnership will be unveiled at the BICSI Winter Conference & Exhibition in Orlando, Florida on February 4-6. Visit Brady at booth 324 for a full demonstration of the Brady and Fluke Networks partnership.
