AEA Accepting Scholarship Applications for Children of Current Members

Alberta Electrical Association chapters in Calgary, Edmonton and Lethbridge are accepting applications for postsecondary scholarships and bursaries. Applications must be received by July 31, 2018.

To date the association has supported the industry with over $100,000 of postsecondary scholarships and bursaries for current members and their children. New this year: a scholarship from The Personal Insurance Company.

For the Calgary and Lethbridge scholarships, the employee of the AEA member company must live and work in Southern Alberta. For the Capital Region and The Personal scholarships, the employee must live and work in Alberta. The students are not required to attend school in Alberta.

Here’s what’s available this year:

• Calgary Region — a $2000, $1500 and $1000 scholarship
• Capital Region — 3 $1500 scholarships
• Lethbridge Region — $1000 scholarship
• The Personal — $1000 scholarship
