Eaton has announced expanded fixtures, controls and accessories for its Halo Home™ Smart Lighting System, designed to meet safety and lifestyle expectations of today’s homeowners in the growing smart home technology market. First, the Halo Home Internet Access Bridge gives the option to add Wi-Fi connectivity which can enable remote access and integrate voice control capabilities with Amazon Echo® or Alexa® products. In addition, the new Halo Home Outdoor Security Smart LED Floodlight enhances home security measures by using dynamic switching to provide increased control over outdoor lighting through the Halo Home mobile app.

With smart home personalization being in demand, Eaton has designed Halo Home to help homeowners build a lighting plan that is customized for their preferences, lifestyles and daily routines.  Halo Home is unique in that a customer can scale from adding a single light and control it from their phone or expand to a full system of indoor and outdoor lights, as well as controls.

Eaton is among the first in the industry to leverage Bluetooth® mesh networking to make Halo Home a simple, smart and secure way to wirelessly control smart lighting. While an internet connection or hub are not required to take advantage of Halo Home solutions, the new Internet Access Bridge accessory allows homeowners to tailor when, where and how they manage their lighting by enabling remote access capabilities.

The Halo Home Outdoor Security Smart LED Floodlight allows homeowners to white tune (3000K to 5000K CCT), dim down to five percent, schedule to brighten or dim throughout the day, and instantly turn on or off through a mobile device while at home or on-the-go.

Additional benefits of the Halo Home system include:

  • Easy installation:The lights are an all-in-one fixture replacement that fit into existing recessed lighting, with no drilling required.
  • White tuning:The Halo Home provides the ability to adjust color temperatures throughout the day or set to a desired state.
  • Flexibility and scalability:Homeowners can scale the connected system to meet their needs, installing one dimmer, one downlight or an entire home.
  • Integrated control solution:The Halo Home controls and fixtures work seamlessly together.
