2 Canadian Firms Represented on AD Board of Directors

Following the 2018 AD LLC Board of Directors elections, Martin Deschênes, Vice Chairman of the Board of Groupe Deschênes Inc. was re-elected to the board. Tim Horsman, President & CEO, E.B. Horsman & Son, also serves on the board. Board terms are generally seven years.

New board member Chrissy Nardini, President of American Metals Supply, Co. replaces Brian Peirce, CEO of Peirce-Phelps. Peirce served on the board for 14 years.
AD is the largest contractor and industrial products wholesale buying group in North America. AD provides independent distributors and manufacturers of construction and industrial products with support and resources that accelerate growth. The 550+ plus independently owned members span nine industries and three countries, with annual sales in excess of US$40 Billion. AD served industries include electrical, industrial, plumbing, PVF, HVAC, building materials, decorative brands, safety and bearings & power transmission.

In 2018 AD successfully completed the transition to becoming a member owned group, a decision aimed at ensuring the continued strength of the group into the future. The board elections marked the first ever member vote on the AD Board of Directors.

“This is a true AD milestone, reflecting the strong member governance and transparency of the organization,” says Jeff Hockin, CEO of Crum Electric Supply Co., Inc. and Chair of the AD Board of Directors Nominating and Governance Committee. “All directors received over 97% approval.”
