Guest Speaker Series: HVAC 

As electricians, we are required to provide power for HVAC equipment, and as Controls electrician, we need to be able to wire up and troubleshoot HVAC equipment in order to make it work effectively. This course will educate electricians about the function of HVAC equipment in relation to air, temperature, pressurization, humidity, etc. in the two-hour seminar, you will go through slides and review functionality of Air-Handling units, Variable-Air-Volume terminal boxes, Hydronic HVAC Systems, Heat Exchangers, and much more.

Electrical contractors, Field Safety Representatives, electricians, apprentices, and anyone else with an interest in HVAC systems from the electrician’s perspective.

About the Guest Speaker.

After a successful career in the trades for 10 years that earned him a Red Seal certification in the electrical field, Farid began teaching for the Electrical Joint Training Committee (EJTC) in 2012.
Farid recently completed his second year of Master instructor/trainer program through the IBEW’s National Training Institution (NTI). Farid assists on advance curriculum development for new EJTC courses like Building Automation.

In addition to his Red Seal and teaching at the EJTC, Farid is specialized in automation and HVAC controls installation, and is a certified Electrical Vehicle trainer/installer. With his experience, he has become an integral member of the EJTC.
