Legend Power Announces New Chairman and AGM Results

Legend Power Systems, an onsite energy management technology company, is pleased to announce that Cosimo (Cos) La Porta, a current director of the Company has been appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors.

Mr. La Porta is a veteran of the Starbucks Coffee Company, having served 18-years in a number of senior executive leadership roles in the United States, Canada and International markets.  In his most recent role, Mr. La Porta was the Executive Vice President, US Retail Business where he was responsible for 150,000 employees, and the operations of 7,600 company operated retail stores. Prior to assuming his US executive role, he spent two years as senior vice president of retail operation for China and Asia Pacific, leading 16 markets that comprised of Starbucks fastest growing region. “I am extremely grateful and proud to be part of a very innovative, cultured company that is focused on solving a very global problem,” said Mr. La Porta. “I have tremendous confidence in the management team and board as we continue to scale this business and maximize shareholder value.”

Legend also announced that all resolutions were passed by the requisite majority at its annual general meeting held in Vancouver, British Columbia on June 20, 2019. Ernst & Young LLP, Chartered Professional Accountants were re-appointed as auditors of the Company for the ensuing year and shareholders approved the Company’s 2019 10% rolling stock option plan.

The following four incumbent directors were re-elected: Randy Buchamer, Cosimo La Porta, Michael Atkinson, and Dave Guebert.

Following the annual general meeting, the Board of Directors appointed Randy Buchamer President and CEO of Legend, and Steve Vanry as CFO, COO and Corporate Secretary.
