Bihl+Wiedemann: ASi-5 Counter Module Expands IP20 Product Family

DCS 8 Bihl ASi 5 400

Nov 15, 2019

The IP20 product family from Bihl+Wiedemann welcomes a new member: The ASi-5 counter module is now also available in IP20 in addition to the IP67 version. With our new ASi-5 counter module with 4 rapidly parameterizable counter inputs, ASi-5 can make full use of its greatest strengths: high data width and short cycle times. The ASi-5 Counter Module transfers up to 4 × 16-bit counter values in just 1.27 ms.

Convenient parameterization

Parameterizing the ASi-5 counter module using the Bihl+Wiedemann software suites is very straightforward. All four ports can be independently configured – so that they can process either single- or dual-channel sensors. The processing details, such as the counting direction, the initial value and the scaling of the counter value can easily be parameterized using the software.

Compatible with all ASi generations

ASi-5 slaves and ASi-3 slaves can be used together on the same ASi network. To use the ASi-5 Counter Module, you need only an ASi-5/ASi-3 Gateway from Bihl+Wiedemann.
