Job Opening: Nunavut Regional Electrical Inspector

The Regional Electrical Inspector performs physical inspections on all types of electrical installations to insure conformity to the minimal acceptable safety standards of the Act and Regulations. The Inspector issues permits and monitors and ensures all electrical installations are done by qualified electrical workers and that the electrical permit has been obtained for the installation.

This position reviews, analyses and approves electrical engineering designs for various types of electrical installations in Nunavut by evaluating them in conjunction with the codes and standards. The Inspector investigates electrical accidents, fires and violations of the Act in Nunavut and reports findings to the Chief Electrical Inspector.
