Universal Adds Bluetooth Control to the EVERLINE LED T8 Tube and Driver Kit

Universal EVERLINE LED T8 Bluetooth Compatibility

Nov 19, 2020

Universal Lighting Technologies, Inc., a member of the Panasonic family of companies, recently launched its Type C LED Tube and Driver Kit with a new Bluetooth controller. The Universal product solution works within the Douglas Bluetooth ecosystem. This retrofit lighting solution is ideal for commercial office buildings, educational and healthcare facilities.

The controllable Type C LED Tube and Driver Kit uses an existing fixture and its lampholders to retrofit a linear fluorescent lamp, using the existing fixture and lampholders. The kit has an 1800 lumen output per lamp, along with Universal Input of 120-277VAC.

The Douglas Bluetooth Controller (BT-LRT) connects directly to the driver and is positioned within the fixture next to the lamps. Its base has an integral magnet to simplify installation, and the white housing and wire harness help it blend into the fixture. Offering ideal flexibility and performance, the Douglas Bluetooth Controller communicates with other Bluetooth ecosystem components, including sensors and wall switches. The system allows for dimming, on/off control with the wall switch or OCC sensor and daylight harvesting.

“As we continue to expand Bluetooth® wireless control in our solutions, introducing the Type C LED Tube and Driver Kit was a natural next step,” said Greg Bennorth, LED Tubes Product Director for Universal. “Many prescriptive rebates offered by utilities require a permanent external driver along with new lamps. This offers not just wireless control with the Bluetooth network, but also an easy solution for increasing energy savings with potential for additional local rebate incentives.”

Intended to offer supreme flexibility, the kit is available in 3 CCT options (3500K, 4000K, 5000K) and in 1-, 2-, 3-, or 4-lamp options.

The controllable Type C LED Tube and Driver Kit comes with a five year warranty and is listed on the DesignLights Consortium® QPL List making it easier to qualify for rebates. Additionally, the kit is UL Classified for the United States, Canada, as well as RoHS.
