Mark Fernandes of Functional Devices is Named to the CABA Board of Directors

The Continental Automated Buildings Association (CABA) Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Mark Fernandes of Functional Devices to the CABA Board of Directors. 

As President of Functional Devices, Fernandes leverages his background in engineering and manufacturing to steer this U.S. provider of electronic devices for building automation, HVAC, lighting, electrical, panel shops, fire & safety, wireless, and power monitoring. 

“Functional Devices and CABA are a natural fit as we strive for sustainability and look into the future to design intelligence into buildings for the health of the occupants and our environment,” said Fernandes. “I look forward to our partnership and the opportunity to collaborate with thought leaders in the industry.” 

As Engineer, Manager, VP of Manufacturing and Engineering, and now President of Functional Devices, Inc., Fernandes has built 18 years of experience in the building automation industry at a company best known for its RIB® (Relay in a Box®) brand product lines. He earned a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering Technology with highest distinction from Purdue University.
