Alloy LED Launches Next Generation PowerLineTM 200 Gen 2 Driverless LED Tape Light

September 8, 2023

ETL Listed 120-volt direct-connect linear lighting factory cut in custom lengths

Alloy LED is pleased to announce the launch of the PowerLine™ 200 Gen 2, the next generation of the direct-connect PowerLine 200 driverless tape light.

Offering ETL Listed custom lengths in 12-inch increments for continuous runs up to 164 feet, the tape light provides the same high-quality performance, reliability and compatibility provided by the popular PowerLine family.

“PowerLine 200 Gen 2 has been reimagined to better suit the needs of our customers. We streamlined the installation process, standardized accessory options across the PowerLine family, enhanced the lighting performance with a tighter diode pitch and added additional CCT output levels. We also continue to provide custom lengths of ETL Listed, 120-volt linear light cut to exact specifications,” said President Joe Flynn, Alloy LED. “Numerous customers have told us they have replaced other manufacturer’s 120-volt tape products with our PowerLine products. This is due to the fact that the competing products were not ETL listed or clearly marked as such. Having each length ETL listed ensures a smooth installation and inspection.” Joe Flynn,
President, Alloy LED

The PowerLine 200 Gen 2 is available for both 120-volt driverless hard-wire and plug-in installations and features one of the broadest selections of configuration options on the market. The tape light’s tight diode pitch reduces hot spots and provides up to 272 lumens per foot based on the selected color temperature (2700K, 3000K, 3500K and 4200K). Featuring a full spectrum 94.5+ color rendering index (CRI) with high R9 and R13 values, the product is IP65 rated for indoor and outdoor installations in wet and dry locations.

With its capability for extra-long runs without the need for a power connection or specific external junction box, the PowerLine 200 Gen 2 is a perfect choice for both residential and commercial applications, including long coves and exterior trims. The product is dimmable and compatible with standard household AC dimmer switches. Extension cables, mounting tracks, and other PowerLine universal accessories are available to cover a variety of project needs.

Featuring Alloy LED’s quick turnaround time, the PowerLine series is delivered factory cut to specification, sealed and ready to be installed. PowerLine 200 Gen 2 is just one solution in the PowerLine tape light family that also includes PowerLine 300 and PowerLine 400 offering lumen outputs up to 337 to 383 lumens per foot, respectively.
