Danielle Mayer – 2024 ECAM Award Recipient

June 14, 2024

Danielle Mayer’s journey to receiving the 2024 ECAM Award is one of dedication and determination. Danielle’s interest in the electrical trade sparked when she realized its potential as a hands-on career path, prompted by the suggestion from her friends that they needed an electrician among them.

Beginning her exploration of the electrical trade at Red River College Polytechnic in 2019, she was drawn to the problem-solving aspect of the trade. Through an instructor, she was connected with Allco Electrical, an ECAM member company to begin her apprenticeship. Allco Electrical supported Danielle through her education and apprenticeship levels, ultimately achieving her Red Seal certification in May 2024.

Danielle’s commitment to the values of ECAM, particularly integrity and diversity, are evident in her journey. As a woman in a predominantly male industry, Danielle’s success serves as inspiration for others. She is proud to see an increase of women
joining the industry, with the number of women in Red River’s pre-employment program doubling since she began.

Congratulations to Danielle Mayer on her well-deserved recognition.
