KNIPEXTEND Comfort Handles Hit North American Market

September 9, 2024

Several exciting new items have just been released to the North American market from professional pliers manufacturer KNIPEX Tools.

Most notably is the KNIPEXTEND System, which offers a more comfortable grip and customization opportunities. The new tri-color comfort grip handle is comprised of three materials: a textured surface for greater grip & enhanced control (gray), a soft component for added comfort (blue), and a high strength material for maximum durability (red). At the base of the handle are two slots which enable users to customize their tool with ColorCoded Clips or a TetheredTool Clip. Ten ColorCoded Clips are available (sold individually or in two available sets) for quick identification of tools in your bag and ownership on jobsites while the TetheredTool Clip easily connects your tool to the KNIPEX Tethered Tool System, providing effective protection against accidents caused by falling tools.

Select pliers with the KNIPEXTEND System are available now with more being transitioned as demand and distributor inventory levels warrant.

“At KNIPEX, we take great pride in offering an extensive range of high-quality pliers and we’re excited to be in the process of transitioning away from our dual component handle to the new, innovative comfort handle design.” said KNIPEX Tools North America President, Todd Shumate. He continued, “The transition is a gradual one, but our distributors have started receiving the first wave of KNIPEXTEND tools and are ready to put them in the hands of eager customers”.

Three additional tools have been released in recent months. The popular StepCut® Cable Shears is now available in a larger size at 9″ in length and in three handle styles (including the KNIPEXTEND). Rounding out the TubiX Pipe Cutter family is the TubiX® S, a compact pipe cutter at 3″ perfect for cutting copper and steel pipes in confined spaces. Finally, a 5 3/4″ Ratcheting Knife for stripping large diameter cable sheaths with considerably less effort.
