Darryl Cruickshank Red Seal Industry Award & CCDA Award for Excellence in Apprenticeship Education

The Canadian Council of Directors of Apprenticeship (CCDA) is pleased to launch the call for nominations for the eighth biennial Darryl Cruickshank Red Seal Industry Award andthe third biennial CCDA Award for Excellence in Apprenticeship Education.

This year, CAF-FCA will be accepting nominations from both education and industry.

The Darryl Cruickshank Red Seal Industry Award is named to honour the life-long impact of the late Darryl Cruickshank to the Red Seal Program. This award will be presented to an individual from industry in Canada who has demonstrated inspirational leadership in the workplace education and apprenticeship of skilled workers. The nominee must be a current or recent member of industry in Canada who is involved in the apprenticeship of skilled workers by virtue of their business or organization; and / or their participation in a committee, association, or trade group. Special consideration is given to those with a Red Seal endorsement, but this is not a prerequisite for the award.

The CCDA Award for Excellence in Apprenticeship Education honours apprenticeship educators and training instructors who deliver innovative and top-quality apprenticeship technical training in Red Seal Trades. This award will be presented to an individual from the field of apprenticeship education and training who has made an outstanding contribution to the promotion, development, and delivery of apprenticeship technical training in Canada. The nominee must be a current or recent staff member of an approved technical training provider in provincial or territorial jurisdictions. Special consideration is given to those with a Red Seal endorsement, but this is not a prerequisite for the award.
