ABB Simplifies Electrical Installations With New Snap-in Fittings

June 19, 2025

  • New Iberville snap-in fittings from ABB Installation Products are designed to save electricians time and effort
  • Supports demand for fast, easy and reliable electrical solutions in residential, commercial, institutional and healthcare installations
  • Builds on over a century of electrification innovation in Canada

The integration of smart technology, energy management systems and enhanced security features is reshaping the Canadian electrical industry. These installations often require electricians to work with new systems and products under tight project timelines, especially in high-demand sectors such as healthcare and commercial construction. To streamline installations, ABB Installation Products engineered new Iberville snap-in fittings to eliminate the need for locknuts and help ensure durable and secure connections between electrical boxes and cables with minimal effort.

Widely used in demanding electrification applications for over a century, ABB’s Iberville solutions now include the new range of 14 snap-in fittings to simplify and speed installation processes – essential for building construction and facilities updates.

With nine single-snap fittings and five double-snap fittings, Iberville snap-in solutions safely and easily work with armored cables (AC90), non-metallic sheathed cables (NMD90) or flexible metallic conduits (FMC). They seamlessly snap into three-quarters inch or half-inch knockouts and are cULus listed (E155411), compliant with CSA C22.2 No. 18.3 standards.

“Electricians are under increasing pressure to do more with less – less time, space and staff,” said Leila Sedighi, Vice President, Product Marketing for ABB Installation Products Canada. “Our new Iberville range of 14 snap-in fittings is designed to address these challenges by delivering practical, time-saving solutions to help contractors drive job site efficiency and meet the realities of a changing industry.”

Using locally sourced materials, ABB’s Iberville steel boxes and covers are engineered, tested and manufactured at ABB’s St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec, facility. A standard among Canadian electricians since 1920, Iberville is among the most recognized brands of steel boxes, covers, commercial-grade fittings and roughing-in products in the Canadian electrical industry.
