IDEAL Electrical™ and BILT® Make it Easier to Learn Conduit Bending

June 23, 2025

Conduit bending – one of the hardest skills for professional electricians to master – is now easier than ever to learn, thanks to a first-of-its kind partnership between BILT, an app that has revolutionized step-by-step interactive instructions for DIYers and IDEAL Electrical, a 108-year old manufacturer of electrical tools and supplies for professional electricians.

The interactive conduit bending guide in the BILT app walks through step-by-step instructions for selecting the right tools for the job and discusses in-depth instructions for five key conduit bends: stub bends, back-to-back bends, offset bends, box offset bends and saddle bends.

Once the bend is selected, the app walks through step-by-step, interactive instructions for how to complete the bends. The app offers both visual interactivity alongside vocal and written instruction. Users can pause, rewatch and skip forward as needed so the instruction is truly at their own pace.

“We pursued this partnership with BILT because we know interactive and digital learning is what the next generation of electricians are using,” says Senior Product Manager Sam Peterson. “Our hand benders have been market leading for decades, with our paper bending guides being some of the most trusted resources for pros to hone their conduit bending skills and this brings that instruction to life in a way that the industry has never seen before.”
