Legrand Brings Power to Exterior Spaces in Canada with Wiremold® Outdoor Rooftop Power Box

September 2, 2026

Exclusive permanent power solution transforms underused spaces into outdoor connections.

Legrand has announced its Wiremold Outdoor Rooftop Box — the only solution on the market designed for raised rooftop applications — is now available in Canada.

The Outdoor Rooftop Box transforms rooftops from underused spaces into inviting destinations, powering gatherings, fitness events, collaborative workspaces and more. It provides convenient, permanent, in-floor access to power on raised rooftop decks, eliminating the need for extension cords. The box sits flush with the floor and has a slip-resistant surface to help prevent trips, falls and other safety hazards.

Features of the Outdoor Rooftop Box:

  • Self-closing cover for electrical receptacles provides protection from the elements and prevents tripping hazards.
  • With a 1,000-pound load rating, the box can handle heavy foot traffic, beverage carts and other heavy rooftop equipment.
  • The shallow design allows the Rooftop Box to be used in any raised floor system with at least 7 inches of clearance from the top of the floor to the roof surface.
  • Features a code-compliant internal rotating outlet design for extra protection against the elements.
  • Multiple finish options makes it possible to match almost any rooftop flooring choice.
  • Rooftop Box has both a prewired and unwired option depending on rooftop needs.

“People are taking their activities outside, so Legrand created a product that turns any rooftop into a safe and permanent place to gather,” said Megan Knedler, Senior Director of Product Management, Wiremold & Connectrac. “Whether our customers need power for a rooftop dinner, host a fitness class or outdoor workstations, the Outdoor Power Box is built to help people stay longer and get more done. We are focused on making the outdoor experience better by putting power exactly where it’s needed.”

The Outdoor Rooftop Box is part of the family of Outdoor Power Solutions at Legrand, designed to help safely and reliably power everyday moments. Learn more about the Outdoor Rooftop Box.
