BC Safety Authority Opens Nominations for the 2015 Lieutenant Governor Safety Awards

BC LT Gov Awards

Know someone in BC who demonstrates an exceptional commitment and contribution to technical safety? Nominate them today for a Lieutenant Governor Safety Award. Nominations close Thursday, September 17.

The awards recognize individuals and organizations committed to the safe installation, operation and maintenance of technical equipment, from electrical, boiler and gas systems, to elevators, railways, passenger ropeways and amusement devices.

Presented in the name of Judith Guichon, Lieutenant Governor of BC, the awards recognize individuals and organizations for their outstanding contribution to technical safety and provide a unique opportunity for those in the safety system to build relationships and share their expertise.

“These awards represent one important, public way that we can honour those who make a difference to technical safety,” says Catherine Roome, BCSA President and CEO. “Technology makes our lives better in many ways but it must work safely… Through these awards, we are celebrating the people who inspire safety leadership in BC industries, homes and communities.”

BCSA is recognizing those who promote safe practices across eight technologies.

The Safety Award categories are:
• excellence in electrical safety
