WiRE Toronto Networking Meet-up: April 11

Join WiRE (Women in Renewable Energy) on Wednesday April 11 for the next WiRE Networking Meetup, featuring guest speaker Jane Travers, Interim Vice President for Strategic Operations, OPG Renewable Generation.

Jane Travers is the interim Vice President for Strategic Operations, which is part of OPG’s Renewable Generation line of business. In her current position, Jane is responsible for fleet optimization of 66 hydroelectric stations and 3 thermal stations, with a renewed focus on Asset Management, Maintenance Strategy and Innovation.

Prior to this appointment, she was the acting Production Manager of Niagara Operations, accountable for the operations and maintenance of 12 hydroelectric generating stations in south central Ontario, and including the Sir Adam Beck complex.

WiRE meet-ups present a welcoming and casual women-only opportunity to meet peers, share ideas and opportunities, and educate colleagues about projects and initiatives of interest to the group. All women working in a field related to renewable energy are invited, as are students and developing professionals who are looking for perspectives on joining the renewable energy sector. Light refreshments are served.
