Omron Canada Inc. appointment to support the Industrial Automation Market in Southern Alberta

Omron Canada Inc. is pleased to announce the appointment of Bashar Abuhamdan to the position of Account Manager – Southern Alberta. Reporting directly to Josh Yates, Regional Sales Manager – Western Canada, Bashar will be responsible for managing Omron’s end users, EPCs, System Integrators and OEM’s.

Bashar holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and MBA from University of Leicester, UK with over 22 years of career experience in sales and marketing with multinational organizations including 3M, Schneider Electric, Honeywell and Lloyd’s Register within Canada and overseas markets. He has held senior roles in sales and marketing in various sectors e.g. electrical, construction, engineering consulting services, channel partner management and oil and gas.

For the past 2 ½  years he held the role of Business Development Manager for Lloyd’s Register in the oil and gas engineering consultancy services in Saudi Arabia, focused on developing the business in Health, Safety and Environment study, HAZOP, HAZID and Risk Based Inspections. Prior to this role he was with Honeywell Limited for 8 years and based out of Vancouver, where he was responsible for fire and gas detection sales for construction, oil and gas sectors covering the BC and AB market.
