Sommers Generator Systems plans to relocate its Atlantic Canada regional headquarters to larger premises. Back in 2012, Sommers, based in Tavistock, Ontario, moved their Atlantic Canada offices and warehouse to the Moncton/Dieppe region. The new expanded facility is located at 551 Ferdinand Blvd. in Dieppe.

The expansion reflects the growing needs of customers in the Maritime region, says Chris McGregor, President of Sommers Generators. “The larger space on Ferdinand will allow us to expand our inventory of rental systems and give customers immediate access to in-stock inventory including generators, transfer switches and parts. In addition, the extra space allowed us to increase our mobile load bank capacity and ability to do more in house repairs,” he explained. “We’re also pleased that the new site will let us provide more welcoming offices to meet with customers to discuss and develop their needs for custom power solutions and a large showroom to display products.”

McGregor notes that relocating within the Dieppe area was high priority in his search for new facilities. “We have an outstanding staff in our Dieppe office,” he says. “It’s important to us to continue supporting their knowledge of Sommers equipment and of our customers in the region.”

Sommers is a leading Canadian manufacturer of packaged generator systems for residential, commercial and industrial applications, and stocks the nation’s largest privately-held inventory of generators for sale or rent from 3 kW to 2 MW.
