Effective October 1, 2018, E.B. Horsman & Son (EBH) has acquired the brand, assets and contracts of Measurement & Controls Ltd. (MCL), headquartered in Calgary, Alberta.

MCL provides industrial automation, process instrumentation, and specialty valves to companies in the process, industrial, and manufacturing industries, such as MOGAS, Siemens Automation, Siemens Instrumentation, FCI, Richards Industries, Skycera, Pepperl + Fuchs, and others.

MCL’s process instrumentation and automation product expertise will complement E.B. Horsman & Son’s full line electrical supply business and technical divisions, thereby creating a robust portfolio of products and services for contractors, industrial end users, system integrators and OEMs in Western Canada.

“The addition of MCL to our family is exciting because it further differentiates EBH as a value-add industrial distributor,” says Tim Horsman, President and CEO of E.B. Horsman & Son. “Together, we now have a unique business capable of offering Western Canadian industrial customers technical support and service in the dynamic future of Industry 4.0 and Mechatronics.”

EBH and MCL will implement an integration plan that will better serve Western Canada through their now larger Process Instrumentation and Automation, Controls & Motion technical divisions.
