EIN EHRC AgentsofChange 400

Oct 9, 2019

Agents of Change is a one-day event focused on equipping women and men with the tools and knowledge needed to address the challenges women and other marginalized groups face in the workplace, and expedite the process of bridging the gender gap. Designed to encourage interaction and collaboration, the event hosts a setting for employees and leaders at all levels to reflect on their experiences and draw inspiration for the journey ahead.

Join EHRC for their Agents of Change 2019: We Rise by Lifting Others event taking place November 13 at the Bram and Bluma Appel Salon in the Toronto Reference Library. This event will provide a solutions-focused and interactive experience to teach about how we can foster more diverse workplaces. We invite female leaders, male champions, and everyone in our sector to attend and participate in this important discussion and learning opportunity.

As in many technical sectors, women working in electricity are a minority, and often face systemic barriers that limit their advancement—and desire to remain—in the industry. We have the power to change this disparity and transform our sector to a paragon of equity.

Supported by employers across Canada, the day will consist of a robust line-up of excellent speakers, leaders from the electricity and renewable energy industry with lived experiences, and participants who are committed to sharing their experiences and strategies in creating an inclusive workplace.

Attendees include:

  • Executives
  • Human resources management
  • Company champions of diversity and inclusion
  • Those working in functional areas that typically see lower representation of women i.e. trades, engineering, technology.
  • Young employees eager to make a difference
  • Anyone with an interest in improving the electricity sector’s gender equity!

Agenda

Agents of Change 2019 includes a full day of programming from 7:45 a.m. to 4:00 p.m, featuring outstanding speakers from across the industry and beyond.
