Date for De-designation of Electric Motor System Technician Red Seal Program Extended

In February of 2020, the Canadian Council of Directors of Apprenticeship (CCDA) announced that Electric Motor System Technician would be de-designated from the Red Seal Program. In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the date for de-designation has been extended to July 31, 2022 to give more time for currently registered apprentices to complete all requirements and challenge the Red Seal examination.

After this date, Red Seal endorsements for this trade will no longer be issued. Please check with your own province or territory about provincial or territorial certification in this trade.
