FLO applauds the Canadian government for its commitment to helping increase EV adoption with the latest Zero Emission Vehicle Infrastructure Program (ZEVIP) launch and release of Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure for Canada – Updated forecasts estimating charging station deployment needs in Canada.

“Today’s announcement is an important step in supporting the rollout of EV charging infrastructure and increasing EV adoption across the country,” said Louis Tremblay, President and CEO of FLO. “We welcome the most recent round of Zero Emission Vehicle Infrastructure Program (ZEVIP) funding and we look forward to contributing to the deployment of convenient and reliable EV charging stations from coast-to-coast-to coast.”

As part of ZEVIP, qualifying Canadian private and public sector companies can receive up to 50-75% in subsidies for the deployment of public EV charging stations. For more information visit: Zero Emission Vehicle Infrastructure Program.

“The Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure for Canada – Updated forecasts offers a crucial roadmap for future charging infrastructure needs in Canada and its release shows important leadership” said Travis Allan, FLO Chief Legal and Public Affairs Officer. “FLO’s view is that a regular and predictable roll-out of charging infrastructure across the country is important to helping Canadians adopt EVs and achieving Canada’s EV adoption and climate targets. The latest ZEVIP call for projects is a great step in that direction.’’
