March 25, 2026

Gescan, a Sonepar Company, is proud to highlight its continued commitment to supporting communities across Saskatchewan through their meaningful alliance with George Gordon Developments Ltd. (GGDL).

With a strong focus on community development, workforce participation and inclusive growth, Gescan is working closely with GGDL to create training, employment and business opportunities for Saskatchewan residents. These efforts are particularly focused on supporting individuals and families in and around the Humboldt region and the George Gordon First Nation.

In 2024, Gescan and GGDL, formed a strategic alliance rooted in a shared vision of economic inclusion and community advancement. This collaboration reflects a mutual commitment to supporting Indigenous participation, strengthening local capacity and creating sustainable employment opportunities for community members.

“We are deeply committed to the communities we serve and recognize the responsibility we have to contribute to their long‑term growth and well‑being,” said Ryan Peever, Vice‑President of Sales at Gescan. “Our approach goes beyond business. We focus on building inclusive, respectful relationships that create real opportunities and lasting positive impact for local communities.”

“This alliance is about creating meaningful, long‑term opportunities for our people,” said Josh Montana, Vice President of Business Development and Strategy for George Gordon Developments Ltd. “By working together with Gescan, we are opening doors to careers in the electrical and sales sectors and ensuring our community is involved throughout the full lifecycle of major projects — both on‑site and off‑site.”

As a leading electrical distributor in Western Canada, Gescan plays an important role in supporting large‑scale industrial and infrastructure projects while ensuring that local communities share in the benefits. By prioritizing collaboration and local engagement, Gescan is helping build pathways to sustainable careers and skills development in the electrical industry.

Together, Gescan and George Gordon Developments Ltd. are laying the foundation for inclusive growth, skills development, and economic resilience. Their partnership demonstrates how purpose‑driven collaboration can deliver lasting value for communities across Saskatchewan — today and for generations to come.
