Home Connectivity Alliance (HCA), an organization dedicated to the development and promotion of safe and secure interoperability across long-life appliances, HVAC systems, and TVs within the connected home ecosystem, announces an MOU agreement with CABA, the Continental Automated Buildings Association, to collaborate on research and marketing initiatives in the connected home sector.

“HCA wants to provide long-term value to the consumer by ensuring the appliances they invest in can interoperate with other devices in their connected home, providing a holistic view of the home’s energy usage to ultimately save the consumer money,” said Yoon Ho Choi, Home Connectivity Alliance President. “By aligning with organizations like CABA, we are connecting with other industry leaders to share resources and drive towards our common goals.”

“CABA is dedicated to the advancement of connected home and intelligent building technologies and supports many cross-industry initiatives,” said Greg Walker, CABA CEO. “We look forward to collaborating with HCA on our shared goals of interoperability and energy management within the connected home.”
