Unlicensed Electrical Contracting Company Convicted in Three Different Cities

An unlicensed contractor was convicted for the third time since January 2015 and received fines totalling $10,000 on charges relating to working without an electrical contractor’s licence. Paul Mullen, who owns and operates Total Generator, pleaded guilty in a Toronto court on Apr. 13, 2015 to allowing an unlicensed individual to perform electrical work.

Electricity Human Resources Canada (EHRC ) recently announced Connected Women ─ a national mentorship model for women seeking to enter or advance in the electricity and renewable energy industry.  Funded by Status of Women Canada, the program will be piloted with graduates of Alqonquin College’s Women in Electrical Engineering Technology program (WEET).

We truly lost another great foundation builder to the Canadian electrical industry on May 12. Jim Cumming had a long and successful business career starting with Canada Wire & Cable and later with Ruddy Electric. Laterally Jim assumed a key role in guiding Westburne in its growth.  Jim thoroughly enjoyed his professional career and the many cherished friendships it brought throughout the years.
