PataBid Named One of Calgary’s Top 10 Startups for Calgary Innovation Week 2025

October 2, 2025

Calgary-based construction tech company, PataBid, has been named one of the city’s Top 10 Startups for Calgary Innovation Week 2025. The recognition highlights PataBid’s use of artificial intelligence to transform the MEP construction estimating industry and places the company among Calgary’s most promising early-stage tech ventures.

The Top 10 cohort will be showcased during Calgary Innovation Week, running November 3-6, 2025. PataBid will pitch live on stage on November 3 at the Platform Innovation Centre, followed by participating in Launch Party on November 6 — the biggest celebration of Calgary startups and the grand finale of Innovation Week.

Launch Party, now in its 15th year, has become the premier platform for showcasing Calgary’s rising tech companies to investors, partners, and the broader innovation community.

“Being named to the Top 10 is a huge milestone for our team,” said Melvin Newman, CEO of PataBid. “We’re building powerful estimating tools that produce bids faster, de-risk the preconstruction process, and create clarity in the industry on project scope. Calgary Innovation Week is a great opportunity to connect with others in the tech scene about the challenges and importance of building strong construction technology tools for the complex trades.”
